Halfway

i never wanted for you to lose me, so i fought myself to keep you, i held you back from leaving me. so i stand still here, even when im just by myself i stood here, even after all the storm you threw my way, you went and i didnt, just so when you finally realized what it is you left, you can still find it back, so i stood still, every time, every mistake, every chance, each time you left i wanted you to come home and find me again, and each time, i had hoped you would see what you have and you would have stayed. but standing still means burning myself, and i was so okay with burning myself aslong as i know you will still have me, but you ran just to look back if im still there.

i cannot afford to be here anymore cause i was the one trying to keep you, no matter what it is you say, i am the one making excuses for your actions, comforting myself despite your neglectance. i am willing to meet you halfway. why is that you cant meet me halfway?
